Who we are

A family owned stucco company in Albuquerque.

Monument Stucco is a local, family owned business in Albuquerque, New Mexico, providing stucco services and repairs. That covers lathing and new installations, re-stucco over an existing house, patching and crack repair, parapet restoration and elastomeric coatings.

Cement stucco and synthetic systems, new construction and older houses, a single wall or a whole elevation. Every photo on this website is a wall we finished ourselves. Tell us what your stucco looks like now and we will tell you what it needs.

How a job runs

Lath, base coat, finish coat

A stucco wall is built up in layers. Paper and lath go on first so there is something for the stucco to grip. Then the base coats, floated flat and left to cure. The finish coat and the color go on last, and that is the part you live with, so it is the part we take the longest over.

On a repair the order is the same, just smaller: cut the failed material out, get back to something sound, then rebuild the layers and match the texture around it.
